Hostile environment 鈥 a situation in which there is unwelcome harassing conduct based on a legally protected class that is severe, persistent, or pervasive enough to create a work, educational, or campus living environment that a reasonable person would consider objectively offensive鈥

Harassment. Behavior that is severe, pervasive, or persistent to a degree that a reasonable person similarly situated would be prevented from accessing an educational opportunity or benefit. This behavior includes, but is not limited to, verbal abuse, threats, intimidation, and coercion.
