On November 19, 2024, the Associated FIREof the University of Wyoming voted to pass a resolution recommending the university cut its student media fee鈥揳nd therefore, funding to student publications鈥揵y 75 percent. During the meeting, numerous senators cited concerns with the newspaper鈥檚 content and staffing decisions before sending the resolution to the university鈥檚 Central Fee Committee. On November 27, 果冻传媒app官方 wrote UW explaining that it cannot cut funding to student publications based on the student government鈥檚 content-discriminatory resolution and urging it to maintain the funding. On January 9, UW responded to 果冻传媒app官方鈥檚 letter, informing us the committee supported a much smaller 8.5 percent cut in line with a recommendation from student media.
