The Education Writers Associationās (EWAās) honor individuals and outlets from across the country for ātireless reporting, compelling storytelling, trenchant criticism and sterling analysis.ā Approximately 430 entries were submitted in categories such as āOpinion Journalismā and āBeat Reporting,ā and each entry was judged by a panel of judges from some of the nationās leading media platforms. FIREis proud to join outlets such as The Chronicle of Higher Education and The News & Observer and organizations such as The Thomas B. Fordham Institute and New America Foundation in receiving this distinction. All of this yearās winners will be recognized at the annual EWA conference this May in Nashville, Tennessee.
